I believed in high school that I was the sonic youth. I had never heard anything like them way up there in the wilds of New Hampshire. Consider the fact that Bob Seegers "Like a Rock' was my prom song theme.
I'm sure that Sonic Youth have sold far more t-shirts than they have records.
I wish I had something biting & snarky to say, but instead: you couldn't be more wrong, boyo.
To be a music snob, it's odd he doesn't mention Glenn Branca. Those open tunings didn't, um, tune themselves. Or something.
