Google now offers a Persian option on its Translate page to help you better keep up with the fast-moving events in Iran. I just tried it, and while it is somewhat rudimentary, it translated the first Twitter message I found-"Ù...تشکرÙ... اندرو سالیوانبرای عط سبز "Ùˆ وبلاگ Ø´Ù...ا-as "I was not going to protest until I saw that Andrew Sullivan turned his blog green in solidarity," which seems about right.

هواناو Ù...ناز Ù...ارÙ...اهی کاÙ...Ù„ شده است.
That's Persian for "My hovercraft is full of eels."
آیا Ø´Ù...ا Ù...ÛŒ خواهید برای Ø¢Ù...دنبه Ù...ØÂÙ„ Ù...ن، ÙÂنری ÙÂنری؟
HA!!
رایگانجدید سگ روز!
"Free hot dog day!"
Ù...نخندانرا با صدای بلند
whoops, that was a reply to sorryyourheinous. It was an attempt at "lolz", but translates to something like "I laugh aloud with"
و ایران، ایرانتا دور
"And Iran, Iran so far away ..."
(Ha ha, get it?)
I couldn't resist. I entered "Balk's Cock" and got Ø·ÙÂره رÙÂتناز 'sشیر.
But when I translated it back into English, it literally means "Balk's milk". Which has a kind of poetry to it, really.
