Party To Be Thrown For Beaters Of Alleged Child-Rapist In Philadelphia
After North Philadelphia neighbors beat up the man suspected of raping her 11-year-old daughter, the victim's mother expressed surprise. The police are not pressing charges against the mob—and "I plan on inviting them to a welcome-home party for my daughter," the mother said. Unfortunately, the mob also beat up someone else who was not the suspected rapist, but never mind!

Usually, I loath mob mentality, but sometimes….
Also, I am watching The Wire on DVD (yes, I am sooo behind on awesome shows)and the episodes beginning quote was Bunke saying, "…everyone has a code."
From the article: "That tells me there is some code, even among the criminal element."
*loathe
well, you swing .500 in the big leagues and you'll still end up in the hall of fame.
I could be completely wrong but I don't think an eleven year old victim of repeated, brutal rapes is going to be all that into having a bunch of people partying at her house to celebrate giving some twitchy rapist freak a beatdown. I also think she's going to be a bit put out about her mom chatting up the local news networks like she's on a reality TV show. I could, of course, be completely wrong in my assessment.
I dunno, people are different in Philly.
I was born and raised in North Philly, about 20 minutes from where that all went down, trust me, folks think that broad needs to get her daughter's business off the TV.
