More Blog-To-Book Deals! How Wonderful!
News today that popular blog "Look At This Fucking Hipster" has been picked up by St. Martin's Press to be turned into a book reminds me of something very eerie that I received over the weekend. It claimed to be a dispatch from the future, although it was hard to tell, since the entire message was written in a difficult-to-understand language that bore only the slightest resemblance to English ("UR 1 HOPE 4 WERLD, PLZ SHARES lol" etc.) I'm not quite sure what the attachment was, but my best guess is that it is a table of contents from an updated version of Harold Bloom's The Western Canon. (It had a 2034 copyright date, if that's any indication.) The attachment somehow self-destructed before I was able to download it, but here's a quick transcription that I was able to make before everything disappeared.

I'm not quite sure, but I have to go register "Here's A Bunch Of Pictures Of My Dick Dressed As Various Mexican Wrestlers" on Tumblr before someone else takes it and steals my deal.
