Jeff Goldblum's Scattershot Career
What a truly excellent point young Nathan Heller makes here (although omitting Will and Grace and Fay Grim is nearly unforgivable): "If ever a person deserved an hour of mindless television, you are that person. You sigh. You wake your DVR. You call up Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Zoned out with New York's finest, swaddled in your favorite couch pillows, you feel, at last, protected from the day's unkind surprises. Or do you? Something weird is happening on your screen. You blink, then double-blink. You wonder: What is Jeff Goldblum doing on my show?"

I would bet a month of my finest psych meds on the fact that Eric Bogosian resists a daily temptation to punch Goldblum in the nose.
I have never bought the Goldblum brand of "quirk" or "eccentricity". He annoys without a satisfactory payoff.
Even "Earth Girls Are Easy"?
STRONGLY AGREE. Pittsburgh's great though.
He didn't omit Fay Grimm, it's mentioned with a quick link while calling him a "dog-faced CIA agent" in the movie.
GODDAMIT I CANNOT READ!
My Will 'n' Grace comment still stands. :)
God this had Slate written all over it.
Golblum's greatest mistake was accepting the lead role in The Ghost Whisperer Meets Murderporn thus preventing Knights of Prosperity from being called, as god intended, Let's Rob Jeff Goldblum. I'm not making this up. I wish I had access to new Law and Order: CIs, I would watch that shit all night long.
Also omitted: Jeff’s screen debut as an ass-painting, trou dropping rapist in Death Wish. He gets blown away by vigilante architect Charles Bronson in that one. Classic.
I just saw "Next Stop Greenwich Village" for the first time about a month ago and he had a small part in that too.
Also as Troy McClure's agent on The Simpsons.
"Troy, are you familiar with The Planet of Apes?"
"Eh, the planet, or the movie?"
Also I liked him in Igby Goes Down, Jurassic Park and Independence Day. So there.
Oh, and also as the dude at the LA party in Annie Hall who's on the phone saying he forgot his mantra. Akin to the Billy Crystal appearance as a mime in "This is Spinal Tap"
He's been quite hilarious with his bits on the Colbert Report this (last?) week.
And The Tall Guy! The sex scene between him and Emma Thompson will stick with me forever.
And here I thought this was Richard Belzer with less gel.
Goldblum's great but the pace's slower than glacial drift…Zzzzzz…
You gave us quite a scare young man. Are you happy?
