In The Courts

SCOTUSblog: "Spitting 5-4, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday that an individual whose criminal conviction has become final does not have a constitutional right to gain access to evidence so that it can be subjected to DNA testing." Presumably they mean "splitting," but hahaha, it's funny either way, because DNA evidence can be found in spit, and five Justices just spit on justice itself.

"Guilty" means never having to say you're sorry.

Jesus, there's nothing that makes me sicker than the thought of an innocent man in prison, but I guess there are a lot of Americans who don't feel the same way. What I wonder is how can these so called advocates and law and order even sleep nights knowing that for every one of those innocents accused of rape or murder, there's probably an actual rapist or murderer out walkin' the streets scot free?

Gonna be a whole lot of the law enforcement community in Texas heaving a sigh of relief today.
