How Weird Is Too Weird For Republicans?

Easy to pack for those quick getawaysU.S. News and World Report: "South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford might get that chance to take a hike on the Appalachian Trail after all. That's because GOP presidential strategists say his weird behavior regarding his five-day absence over Father's Day weekend has ruled out a chance of him running and being taken seriously." Really? That's where the GOP draws the line on being taken seriously? The party of Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich? Amazing.

Politicians are all weird. The narcissism required to throw ones hat into the ring is typically accompanied by a host of other personal quirks.

Obama put his hand on the tiller? I thought that was what got Clinton in so much trouble!

At some point probably 7 (3?) years in the future, it will be time to demand steady tiller-hands.
