The plan is to keep cutting salaries and raising prices every six months–what could be wrong with that? According to internal projections, in earlyNovember 2015, salaries for members of the BNG will hit zero and the last subscriber, Betty Shaughnessy, an 84 year old retired teacher in Methuen, will be paying $14.5 million a week for home delivery.

Also? Most people think The Globe loses about $75M per year, so I don't see how a savings of $38M sets the paper "on the path to a more secure financial future". It's still going to cost The NYT Co. $37M per year to run The Globe, an "asset" that they can't be sold and has no forseeable upside.
