Fox News star Glenn Beck announced a new partnership with publisher Simon & Schuster today. It's a multi-format deal, including "nonfiction books, original audio books and e-books, as well as titles for children and young adults." Beck will share costs and profits with S&S, meaning he'll keep a lot more money if the books do well. What's on tap for release?
Audiobook America's March to Socialism, is out this month; Glenn Beck's Common Sense, an e-book, follows in June; and Arguing with Idiots makes its hardcover debut in September. Please note: BooHooHooHooHoo: The Crocodile Tears of Glenn Beck, a 45-minute audio CD of the talk show host's weeping insincerities set to the music of Jimmy Webb, is not part of the deal; it drops on Indiana-based independent label Jagjaguwar Records tomorrow.

"Follow Me Off the Cliff of Reason" By Glenn Beck
"I Dont Believe a Word I Say" By Glenn Beck
"Dear Lord What Have I Wrought" By Glenn Beck
"My Father Sodomized Me Nightly" By Chip Beck
"God is Dead" by Blenn Geck
GREAT move for S&S considering research shows near 80 percent of U.S. families did not buy or read a book last year. And, totally speculative, I'm guessing a lot of Beck fans aren't in that other 20%
Why would you want to argue with an idiot? If you already know they're lost to reason, what's the point? Seriously, you'd have to be an idiot to write a book like that.
So, um, QED.
