Vindictive Obama Punishes Republican Donors
Republicans are all in a tizzy that Comandante Obama and his gang of socialist wealth redistributors are using the Chrysler bankruptcy to shut down car dealers whose donations favored Republicans over Democrats. But is it true? Well, Your Geeky Boyfriend Nate Silver is on the case, and he's skeptical.
There is just one problem with this theory. Nobody has bothered to look up data for the control group: the list of dealerships which aren't being closed. It turns out that all car dealers are, in fact, overwhelmingly more likely to donate to Republicans than to Democrats — not just those who are having their doors closed.
He's got charts and numbers and shit to prove it, not that anything like "evidence" or "statistics" ever convinces these people. Anyway, something to keep in mind next week when GM files for bankruptcy and they trot out the same story all over again.
I LOVE this part. Pay attention, cause this is when the Republicans get all paranoid and sweaty and start mumbling about aluminum foil and secret CIA radio implants before busting shit up and scaring the suburban mom vote even further.

I've never been to a car dealership that wasn't filled with double-talking shysters and assholes, so this makes perfect sense to me.
This is all fine and good, but if Obama closes the Dairy Queen near my house then I'm going to throw a fit.
The dealership near my house has huge signs in the window reading "GOVERMENT-FORCED LIQUIDATION SALE" and that Adrian Rogers "You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity etc etc" quote displayed on a billboard outside. Maybe they give you a free copy of 'Atlas Shrugged' with every SUV purchased?
