Early reviews of Heath Ledger's final film:
- "Ultimately, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a film with a huge heart and a dazzling eye, but it does little for the very thing it is trying to celebrate: the imagination."
- "There's no doubt that the imaginary world he's created is awe-inspiring, but it's ultimately designed for an art house audience."
- "But the film's convoluted curlicues are tiring, insisting too loudly on how 'imaginative' everything is.... this movie, though perfectly amiable, could be for fans only."
They mean fans of director Terry Gilliam. No one seems to have a bad word for Ledger, though.

Just let it be better than Tideland. Please.
Amen. That movie was.....honestly words fail me.
It wasn't just the two hours I wouldn't get back, it pretty much ruined my week.
Just who exactly ISN'T a fan of Terry Gilliam?
Anyone who uses the phrase "convoluted curlicues" has no business accusing another of being tiring.
Am I the only one who thinks this title sounds too much like that "Mr. Magorium's Magic Emporium" crap?
