This is a very complicated defense of magazines by an Elle writer (who is also the wife of the editor of the Times' "Modern Love" column, which is about neither modernity nor love, DISCUSS). I have some thoughts about it, and about the idea of what people want versus what people say they want, but instead of relaying them I am going to focus my intentions on the financial health of the New Yorker now in a yoga class.

Why do people like this lady persist in referring to blog POSTS as "blogs"?
Doree, obvs she is too busy making her income and taking care of her children to keep track of such frivolous nonsense as: What the things that are replacing magazines are properly called.
would "modern love" be more honestly titled "people even more fucked up than you, the reader"? disuss.
