"Ready or Not, Katrina Victims Are Losing Temporary Housing." Here, maybe you should try a little bit of this instead of coffee.
Thousands of rental units have yet to be restored, and not a single one of 500 planned "Katrina cottages" has been completed and occupied.....Legally permissible words cannot express how this makes me feel!Nonetheless, FEMA wants its trailers back, even though it plans to scrap or sell them for a fraction of what it paid for them.
"All I can say is that this is a temporary program, it was always intended as a temporary program, and at a certain point all temporary programs must end," said Brent Colburn, the agency's director of external affairs. He said there would be no extensions.

All of a sudden that Anderson Cooper promo that CNN ran for like YEARS where he asks, "Where are the FEMA approved trailers?!" seems relevant again. Where is Coop on this?! On the other hand it's kind of ridiculous that this long after the hurricane, a disaster management agency is still handling this instead of a housing or development authority.
That was in the issue I got delivered the morning. Are you telling me that the rest of the city is getting a different newspaper?
