CNN: "Several members of the Republican National Committee are miffed at Newt Gingrich for claiming that they're a small bunch of egomaniacs who need to be coddled by the party chairman." Well, of course they're miffed. It's gotta sting, right? I mean, who would know better?

Peggy Noonan, that's who. She's the one saying that going after ex-administration officials would introduce 'poison' into the 'political life of a nation'.
Presumably, this would be much worse than the poison that's released when you try to take down a sitting president over a blow-job while you're busy conducting an extra-marital affair of your own.
