Michael Steele Acknowledges Obama's Magic
So far in his term as chairman of the Republican National Committee, former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele has been resoundingly successful at uniting a fractured party, er, improving the G.O.P.'s image with independents, um, reaching out to minority voters, hmm, not yet setting his office on fire. He's about to catch a little more heat for chuckling along today with a radio caller who referred to Barack Obama as a "magic negro." This raises a whole host of unfortunate issues about race and intolerance and bigotry in this country, but before everyone clamors to condemn Steele, it's important to note that his real offense was not using the opportunity to make an valuable and much-needed corrective statement: Barack Obama is a magic mulatto, okay?. Make a note of it.

Steele is a Tragic Cheetoh.
This supports my theory that Michael Steele is actually a white man.
Mike Tyson was his brother-in-law. And this was Mike Tyson before James Toback humanized him. And now he's a black man heading the GOP against an African-American President. The man has issues.
Oh, damn, now I've got the "Magic English" jingle stuck in my head as "Magic Negro"…and actually, it's ok.
Thank you for the "whole host" part.
