Hey, look, it's BriTUNES, the new web-only music series from NBC Anchor Brian Williams! The feature debuts with a piece on Deer Tick, who we hear were a late choice after Williams decided that MGMT were "too last summer." It's actually pretty enjoyable. Now if we could just get those '80s late night clips of "Garrick Utley's Cauldron O' Funk" on Hulu—particularly the go-go episodes—we could die happy.
VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE! ABC News notes that they are also doing this! Sadly, it is not Charlie Gibson chatting with Deerhunter, but what are you gonna do?

He's looking more like Andy Williams everyday…Hold me…
How about Bob Scieffer of CBS' "Honky Tonk"? Scieffer's brand of honkey is hotter than an Alabama tit:

Schieffer ..
Ohhh Bri(an Williams)Tunes. Not Bri(tish Web-only music series hosted by an American TV journalist and featuring American band Deer Tick)Tunes at all.
I would love to see Morley Safer's Post-Punk series on BetaMax sponsored by Maxell cassette tapes.
"I am unfamiliar with that term. Can you find your way to Connecticut?"
Most hysterical 30 Rock moment ever.
Also, from Tuesday night's Nightly News: "In a passionate, emotional speech upon learning she would keep her crown, Miss California invoked World War 2, General Patton, and the Battle of the Bulge."
Schieffer and Deerhoof is more in keeping with the theme but Dan Rather and Red Krayola is more plausible.
