What fascinates me is the eager acceptance of "celebrities" to migrate down amongst the proletariat to mingle within the Twitterscape and Facebookerati (do you think that guy on Technorati can get me invited into the Statusphere for either of those? No??).
It is as though, by debasing themselves so transparently, they can attain a commonnness that will redeem them--not so much to Us--the Mass--but to themselves, as putative persons devoid of persona, to which they desperately cling, yet aspire to shed.
