The Guardian rounds up the ten commercials about which Britain's Advertising Standards Authority received the most complaints in 2008. What was wrong with this one? "Viewers were concerned about the dog's welfare during filming and claimed the ad condoned animal cruelty. Others said it broke the highway code." Oh, England. Anyway, the rest are here, but fair warning: some are pretty grim.

The Orangina ad in the link is pretty visionary. But I chewed a blotter two hours ago, and was having animal crackers for breakfast.
I think they're animal crackers.
Whatsaminsurance just had to withdraw their ubiquitous Iggy Pop car/life insurance ads in the UK because he says in the ad he has the policy but apparently musicians are not eligible for the policy.
My favorites are the road safety ones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=faqLhbAjTJU&
